New Phone Line, Part 2

This is the new location for the phone jack. You can see the existing phone line after being fished through the back exterior wall. See the previous picture for an explanation of how the existing line was moved. The new jack is mounted on a "cut-in box", which is simply a neat little device that allows you to add new outlets from the inside of the house, through existing drywall. Basically, you use a rat tail drywall saw to cut out an area of the drywall equal to the size of the inset portion of the cut-in box. The box then slides in the hole, and a couple of "wings" rotate out to grab the sheetrock from behind.
