Beginnings of New Plumbing
The old galley-style kitchen had the kitchen sink sitting basically in the middle of the new, open area. The new kitchen will have the sink against the back exterior wall of the house. This image shows the new hole created for the plumbing lines. This particular hole shows where the waste water pipe will go. The hot and cold copper lines will run through the wood header/footer. Luckily enough, with the kitchen being upstairs, we were pretty easily able to modify the existing layout of the plubming. I would recommend having a licensed plumber anything of this nature. Drilling holes in your upstairs floor can be a bit nervewracking.
